On July 17, the Blooming Stars Foundation held an information session on Google Meet for new volunteers!
The session kicked off with an introduction of the founders, Kavinaya and Prithika, whose passion for helping children in need was noticeable. Their commitment to the Foundation’s goals and values inspired volunteers to become more involved in the work of the organization.
Next, the Foundation’s mission was discussed in detail, emphasizing the importance of supporting underprivileged children and providing them with the school supplies and educational resources they need to succeed. The presentation also highlighted the organization’s dedication to creating a brighter future for these children as well as the positive impact its work has had on their lives.
Volunteers also learned about their roles within the organization along with the tasks they will be assigned. The session provided valuable insights into the various ways they can contribute, like how much time they are expected to devote, finding donors, hosting events, and spreading awareness on social media. This information helped them understand the scope of their responsibilities and how their efforts can make a difference.
The Foundation also explained its penalty policy, ensuring that all volunteers are aware of the guidelines and expectations of their involvement in the organization. The importance of communication, transparency, and dedication were all emphasized to foster a sense of accountability among volunteers and the integrity of the organization.
The session concluded with the introduction of the volunteers’ first task, which was for each of them to find 2 donors and record their names on the appropriate spreadsheet. This helped them dive right into their work and make an immediate impact and they were eager to get started and contribute to the Foundation’s mission.
